Youth United

Youth UnitedYouth United is a Habitat outreach program run by community youth. The idea is to mobilize youth ages 5-25 to run outreach, education and fundraising programs for Habitat for Humanity. Members 16 and older also get to volunteer on the construction site and help build houses!

Internships

In 2009-2010 we have two internships available for qualified students who enjoy being creative and are eager to explore leadership opportunities. The successful applicants will run the program, oversee two events per year (fundraising, outreach, building, etc.) and ensure the successful transition between program years. Both leaders will receive a letter of recommendation at the end of the 2010 spring term detailing their good work for Habitat.

Benefits also include knowledge about the operations of a nonprofit, how to engage one's peers in volunteer work and outreach, and how fundraising fits into the broader picture of Habitat for Humanity. Contact the office for details at (623) 551-6000.
